Adrian Mason MS attended the Chairman of Conwy County Borough Council's Civic Service on Sunday 18 October, joining local representatives and members of the community for the occasion.
During the event, Adrian also had the opportunity to meet representatives of The DPJ Foundation, a Welsh charity dedicated to supporting mental health and wellbeing within the agricultural community.
The DPJ Foundation provides vital mental health support to farmers, agricultural workers and others living and working in rural communities. Through its Share the Load initiative, the charity offers confidential support and access to counselling for those experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
Farming communities face unique pressures, including isolation, financial uncertainty and the demanding nature of agricultural life. Organisations such as The DPJ Foundation play an important role in ensuring that those who need support know where to turn.
The Civic Service provided an opportunity to recognise the importance of community involvement and to learn more about the valuable work being undertaken by charities supporting people across North Wales.
